One Word

Before 2013 ended, I hesitantly decided to have a word every year. I was never fond of New Year’s resolutions, what more with just one word. I was afraid that I won’t be able to live by it for 365 days (or beyond if needed). A blogger friend, who has been doing this for a long time, pushed me to go through it without her knowing. I was inspired that despite the challenges and uncertainties against the word she claims every year, she stands firm and get out of it with a changed heart. I told myself, no matter what the outcome of my word, I’ll get through it. I’ll learn something from it regardless of how small or big the change that will happen to me. I will come out differently from how I started.

So the journey begins.

What’s your word for this year?

Forget New Year’s Resolutions. Scrap that long list of goals you won’t remember three weeks from now anyway.

Choose just one word.

One word you can focus on every day, all year long… One word that sums up who you want to be or how you want to live.

It will take intentionality and commitment, but if you let it, your one word will shape not only your year, but also you. It will become the compass that directs your decisions and guides your steps.

Discover the big impact one word can make.

One word. 365 days. A changed life.
