I can’t believe I’m finally writing a post about this. I like planning/listing things but NOT the books I’ll read. But because I can’t magically reduce my TBR mountain, I have to read them (obviously). That is why here I am with my Required Reading post.
I listed 4 books for January. I didn’t post it just because. =)
Magic Bites by Ilona Andrews [3/5] – Its okay. I’m not used to reading Urban Fantasy but recently I find them addicting. I got confused with the world building at start but I kind of get it as I go along. There are still things I can’t understand in Daniels’ world but one thing is for sure, Kate Daniels is a hardcore badass heroine.
The Girl in a Steel Corset by Kady Cross [5/5] – Wow. This is the best gift I received last Christmas and it’s my best read for January!
Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury [3/5] – First TFG book discussion and we started our F2F 2013 with a bang. Ehm. Fire.
Hallowed by Cynthia Hand [currently reading] – I wanted to finish this before I get a copy of Boundless. I got sick two weeks ago and had 3 days of rest but instead of reading this, I finished books 1 and 2 of Nalingi Singh’s Guild Hunter Series.
For the love month, I plan to read 4 books too but given the days and the special project assigned to me in my work I don’t think I can read all of it. And my RO2 addiction is eating most of my free time.
Dead Stars by Paz Marquez Benitez – TFG’s book for February. I’ll read this probably a day or two before the book discussion.
Why We Broke Up by Daniel Handler – To make my Valentine’s week different I’ll read this. I don’t like a sappy romance novel this month. I should but I won’t. Weird but I want to shed some tears this Feb and yes on Valentine’s Day.
I’d try to squeeze in Hallowed by Cynthia Hand. But I know I have to finish it ASAP.
So what are you up to this month?
